Easy Clean Coating

3M™ Easy Clean Coatings are a range of clear, colourless treatments for ceramic sanitary ware, glazed ceramic tile and glass shower doors that provides "easy to clean" surfaces.

The fluoropolymer is designed to react with the surface to create a low surface energy coating that is not easily wetted with liquids.

The treatment is stable and cannot be removed except by harsh cleaners or reagents, such as a very strong base.

This product is typically applied from an extremely dilute solution at 0.1~1 wt. % at a coating thickness of 50A by spray, dip, roll coating or brush and will exhibit a low critical surface energy.

The treatment provides a hydrophobic surface that allows simple rinsing away of soils and sludge from the surface with no residual surface staining.

The treated surface is highly repellent to oils and water, and is durable with no change to surface appearance.
