3M™ Novec™ coatings are a family of fluorinated polymers designed to protect both the outer surfaces and inner workings of modern electronic products.

Electronic device component protection surface modifier coatings are designed to protect the device from environmental contaminants such as moisture, corrosive gases and other airborne contamination.

Novec coatings can be applied to a variety of components including:

  • Hybrid circuits
  • Micro motors
  • Ink jet heads
  • Disk drive components
  • MR heads
